Blackberry reveals BBM for iOS and Android will get group photo messaging

CANADIAN PHONE MAKER Blackberry has detailed its next version of Blackberry Messenger (BBM) for iOS and Android, which will deliver support for group photo messaging.
No doubt to challenge iMessage, Google Hangouts and Whatsapp,Blackberry said in a blog post on Friday that group photo messaging is next on the agenda for its BBM app.
Blackberry said, "With millions of you depending on BBM to connect with your most important contacts, we want to provide the best messaging experience possible. So, we're taking your feedback and we're trying to knock it out of the park by bringing new features and improvements to BBM on a regular basis.
"We know customers want to be able to share pics with multiple people in a chat. The next release of BBM will support photo sharing in multi person chats."
Blackberry also revealed that the incoming update will support larger file sizes, meaning that BBM users will be able to send longer video clips and larger documents to each other.
"The update will up file sending to 16MB from 6MB. "What this means is that you'll be able to send bigger pictures, larger documents and longer videos," Blackberry said.
News of another update comes just weeks after Blackberry released a fairly major update forBBM for iOS and Android. This brought BBM Voice, Channels to the app, allowing users to make calls over a 3G or WiFi connection and chat with like-minded BBM users. Following this update,Blackberry announced that BBM will be coming to both Windows Phone and Nokia's Android based Nokia X platform.
Blackberry has yet to announce when it will roll out this latest BBM update.Click here to download all
